The mission of Northglade Montessori Magnet School, a diverse nurturing family of students, educators and parents, is to prepare each student to become a well-educated, responsible and respectful contributor to family and community by enhancing academic achievement through a literature-rich curriculum that integrates technology, addresses individual needs (social, emotional, academic, and physical) and unique talents, in partnership with family and the community.

Parent Involvement Is Key!!!

Today, there is undeniable evidence that parent involvement makes a difference in children's learning. Certain types of parent involvement can lead to improved student achievement, better attendance, and a more positive attitude toward school. It can also lead to an awareness of options for future education and work.
Teachers benefit from parent involvement, too. They gain a better understanding of families' backgrounds, cultures, concerns, goals and needs. They also develop improved communication skills as they reach out to work with parents.
Parents benefit from their involvement in education by gaining a better understanding of school
programs and policies. They may also develop skills that help them help their child. Finally, parents often become more aware that the challenges they face in parenting are shared by others in the community. Given all these benefits, it is clear that parent involvement is important for you and your child. Set aside time to increase your involvement with your child's school.
