How Can We Contact You?

The School Improvement Team is in the process compiling a survey to learn about your needs in the school. We are interested in determining your opinions about program quality, climate, parental involvement, and academic achievement.

In order to communicate with you effectively about your expectations, the Northglade Montessori PTO Newsletter will invite you to indicate the best way to contact you for either disseminating or soliciting information. Please take a moment to respond to the feedback portion of the upcoming PTO newsletter.

Testing During April

Students will receive district assessments in mathematics and reading over the next two to three weeks. The IOWA Test of Basic Skills (Grades 1st through 6th) and Gates-MacGinities (K) will report achievement levels and monitor students’ progress on a yearly basis. In order to ensure that

students are prepared to test, please discuss the importance of doing their personal best and getting plenty of rest each night. Eating healthy meals is also a great way to boost BRAIN POWER.

Grace & Courtesy Focal Points:

· Respect personal belongings (hats, gloves, jackets, backpacks, folders) by storing them in the appropriate areas in the classroom and/or cafeteria.

· Use materials and supplies properly.

· (REVIEW) - At the end of the school day, silently exit the building and board the buses.

Concerns, Questions, Comments…

Contact the office or attend the regularly scheduled School Improvement Meetings to discuss topics of interest. The first portion of the meetings are dedicated to reporting concerns or offering feedback. Also, for your convenience, a box for your suggestions is now available in the office.
