PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES ARE IMPORTANT…PLEASE ATTEND!As Montessorians, we pledge to hold the highest expectations for the academic achievement and social/emotional development of all students. Learn about our commitment to your child(ren) by attending the scheduled Parent-Teacher Conferences next week. Explore the wonderful activities and materials used to provide your child(ren) with enriched and quality educational experiences.Parents, please be prepared to speak with our caring teachers about your child(ren)’s learning goals, academic progress, homework suggestions, peer interactions, social development goals, and other topics deemed important. Teachers will share work records and planners with assignments and deadlines (for E1 and E2 students).
We look forward to welcoming you to Parent-Teacher Conferences on March 26 & 28.Grace & Courtesy Focal Points:· Show caring for classroom pets and plants.· (REVIEW) – Use walking feet when traveling around the building.· (REVIEW) - At the end of the school day, silently exit the building and board the buses.Concerns, Questions, Comments…Contact the office or attend the regularly scheduled School Improvement Meetings to discuss topics of interest. Also, a box for your suggestions will be available in April.Magnificent Maria Montessori…“Imaginative vision is quite different from mere perception of an object, for it has no limits.”
Needs List…Thanks for Helping!(Please donate any of the following items from Requests #1 & #2. Your much needed contributions can be dropped off in the school office.)REQUEST #1: Gently Used Games and Craft Materials (These items are needed for daily enrichment time to support PTO- purchased materials.)REQUEST #2: Classrooms are in need of Kleenex, small lamps, plastic cutlery, room deodorizers, hand towels, snacks, and baskets.REQUEST #3: Parent Volunteers Needed (Assistance is needed with Teacher Appreciation Week during May 12-16, 2007.) Contact Mrs. Bolhuis if you are interested in joining the planning team.**********

- Thursday, March 22nd – Kindergarten Orientation (9:15 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. & 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.)
- Monday, March 26th (4:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.) & Wednesday, March 28th (12:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.)
- Spring Parent Teacher ConferencesHalf Days on Wednesday, March 28th & Thursday, March 29th & No School on Friday, March 30th for K-6th.
- Monday, April 2nd – Friday, April 6th – Spring Break
- Tuesday, April 10th – PTO/School Improvement Meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. and concludes promptly at 8:00 p.m. Please plan on attending! (Free Pizza Meal & Babysitting Provided.)
- Thursday, April 12th, 5:00 p.m. – Global Reading Challenge – Douglas Community Center (Powell Library) / Northglade E2 Reading Team
- Monday, May 28th – No School – Memorial Day
- Monday, June 13th – Half Day & Last Day of School for Kindergarten
- Tuesday, June 14th – Half Day & Last Day of School for Grades 1-6(6th Grade Celebration)
