Working Together to Educate the “Whole” Child…

With the ongoing involvement of families and partners in the community, the social, emotional, academic, and physical needs of children are addressed in the Montessori environment. The goals in the School Improvement Plan center around nurturing the unique skills and talents of each student as they also develop the following life-long behaviors (measured throughout the school year):

· · Care for the environment by returning materials to the proper locations.

· · (REVIEW) - Use a quiet voice when waiting in the cafeteria.

· · (REVIEW) - At the end of the school day, silently exit the building and board the buses.

REQUEST #1: Gently Used Games and Craft Materials (These items are needed for daily enrichment time to support PTO- purchased materials.)

REQUEST #2: Clothing and props needed for the African-American Wax Museum. (Contact Ms. Bradford to learn more about needed items.)

REQUEST #3: Parent Volunteers Needed (Assistance is needed with Teacher Appreciation Week during May 12-16, 2007.) Contact Mrs. Bolhuis if you are interested in joining the planning

• Tuesday, February 13^th – PTO/School Improvement Meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. and concludes promptly at 8:00 p.m. Please plan on attending! (Free Pizza Meal & Babysitting Provided.)
Wednesday, February 14^th – Valentine’s & Brotherhood Music Concert for the Early Childhood Classes (2:00 p.m.)
