Catch the Summer Reading Buzz!

We are excited to offer another Scholastic Book Fair this school year. Many families may use this great opportunity to purchase books for summer reading fun to encourage learning. Research shows that students who chose to read over the summer are less likely to lose ground. Starting on May 10th, check out the awesome selections at the Scholastic Book Fair (in the B wing) to motivate all students to read.

Also, check out Scholastic.com/readingbuzz/ for book recommendations, activities, tips, and resources to help motivate all readers. You may also download reproducible bookmarks and sheets to record titles read and enjoyed over the summer. Students who share with classroom teachers the titles of books read over the summer (at least 25 titles for grades K-3 and 35 titles for grades 4-6) will earn a prize in September. Happy Reading!!!

End-of-the-Year Expectations for All Students…

· Follow the Golden Rules (Respect Self, Others, and the Environment) on the school grounds and bus.

· Continue to complete all assignments using your personal best. Learning will take place until the second week of June.

· Return library books, borrowed items, special notes with instructions, and permission slips in a timely manner.

· Before coming to school, know the plan for instructions.

· Check for lost or misplaced items in the cafeteria.
