Students to Take Upcoming District Tests

Students in grades second through sixth are
scheduled to take the district-level
EdPerformance Test that measures achievement
in reading and mathematics. The Cognitive
Abilities Test will be administered to third
third graders. Tests are scheduled over the next three
weeks. Please make sure that your child(ren) are
prepared by eating healthy meals, receiving
adequate test, and demonstrating their personal best.


What is Bach Around the Clock?

Our wonderful E2 choir has spent a great deal of
time practicing for an upcoming concert to honor
famous composer J.S Bach. Students will
showcase their talents with other school in the
county. Please plan on supporting this grand
performance on Saturday, March 18, 2006, at the
Kalamazoo College-Dalton Fine Arts Building (Main
Theater). Two free performances are scheduled
for 1:30 p.m. & 4:00 p.m. Volunteers are needed
to transport students. Mrs. Hickman can be
reached at Northglade on Wednesday and Friday
of this week if you need to reserve tickets or are
available to transport students.

Important Announcement

Superintendent Dr. Janice Brown will hold a
meeting on Tuesday, March 21, 2006 at 6:30 p.m.
to discuss a) the possibility of all KPS 6th graders
attending middle schools (grades 6-8) in the
future, b)information on the 2006 bond proposal,
and c) other ideas for quality educational delivery
systems for our students. The meeting will be
held at King-Westwood for the parents of
Northglade Montessori, Indian Prarie,
and King-Westwood. Please plan on attending!
