February Is Black History Month!!!

Use this month to start discovering, reviewing, and reflecting on the positive and important contributions made by African Americans in this country. We are very thankful for the life-changing gifts bestowed upon us from many African-American inventors, scientists, doctors, civil rights leaders, politicians, teachers, etc.

At Northglade, we pride ourselves on guiding students in recognizing the good deeds of others as they discover their own gifts and talents to positively impact our world. Join us in studying African-American History by participating in special events held this month in Kalamazoo and attending Literacy Night on March 2^nd at Northglade which will feature the African-American Wax Museum.

We Love Our PTO!

The Valentine’s Day Sale, sponsored by the PTO, will be held on Monday, February 13^th and Tuesday, February 14^th in the cafeteria between 2:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. All items are priced between $0.25 and $2.00.

Purchase Books for “March Is Reading Month” at the Scholastic Book Fair!

You’ll find high quality books to purchase for your child(ren) at Northglade’s Scholastic Book Fair from February 17 through March 3. Return the Book List Order Form or drop by the school to check out the great selection. Classrooms will have an opportunity to visit the Book Fair during the school say.
